The Samsung Note range started off as a bit of a novelty but as established itself as range that sells a good quantity of phones and has launched an entire market, that of the phablet with HTC, Sony and Nokia bringing out larger handsets and Samsung adding more to the collection with the Mega.
The new Note will have a 5.7″ screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920. This has been confirmed although there are rumours that there are 5.5″ and 6″ versions for different carriers, although they do seem to be test units only.
The rest of the specs read almost like a wishlist but have been confirmed as:
- 3GB RAM
- Android 4.3 on launch
- Snapdragon 800 chipset
- LTE-A (faster speeds)
Other rumoured specs include 13 megapixel camera, optical image stabilisation and even a 3x optical zoom, although not sure about that one.
Confirmation is expected at a Samsung event in early September so only a month to go.
