New website, new products. Honor pushes on.


With their smartphone business currently impacted by the Trump Trade Termination, Honor are slightly changing direction.

Everything we’ve looked at recently has been highly rated. The Honor MagicWatch 2 was top class (and I wanted to keep it), and the Magic EarBuds are shockingly good.

Today, more devices – the MagicBook Pro, the ViewPad 6, the Honor Router 3, the Honor Vision X1 Series, a selection of
smart home devices and a new website too  UK availability and pricing is incoming and hihonor.com is now online ahead of them being on sale. From May 21st, you’ll be able to buy direct from Honor UK for the first time. There’ll be offers too, so keep a look out.

The Honor ViewPad 6 has a Kirin 985 with 5G and WiFi 6+ connectivity. It has a 10.4″ 2000 x 1200 2K FullView Display, a smart split-screen option and HD stereo quality. Storage options include 64GB, 128GB, or 256GB – there’s a microSD card slot too. It gets 6GB or 8GB of RAM depending on your choice of model and a 7250mAh battery with 10V/2.25A fast charging. There’s USB-C charging, a rear 13 megapixel camera and an 8 megapixel selfie.

In addition, Honor are pushing out a stack of handy gadgets – the Honor Router 3 with WiFi 6+ and a dual-core 1.2 GHz CPU. The Honor Vision X1 Series smart screen, a Smart Vacuum Cleaner, an Air Multiplier and Humidifier, Desk Lamp, Electronic Toothbrush and Smart Kettle.
