Well, hello there Samsung Galaxy Note10

Available in “Aura Glow”, Black and White, this is the new Samsung Galaxy Note10. It’s got a 4300mAh battery with super-fast charging and Qi wireless charging too. You can also do PowerShare to charge other devices.

There’s three models – a Note10 with 256GB storage and 8GB RAM, a Note10+ with the same storage and 12GB RAM and a Note10+ with 512GB storage and that 12GB RAM. They come in 5G variants too. Samsung are offering some pre-order deals in some locations where you can bag a free storage upgrade to the 512GB model and a wireless battery pack on the Note10+ or a free pair of Galaxy Buds and that wireless battery pack on the Note10.

Samsuing tell us that they’ve “designed a mobile experience that’s like a computer, a gaming console, a movie-tech camera, and an intelligent pen, all in one device”. Here’s the intro …

The Note10 has a 6.3″ “Infinity-O display” at 401ppi (2280 by 1080) and weighs in at 168g whilst the Note10+ has a 6.8″ “Infinity-O display” at 498 ppi (3040 x 1440) and weighs 196g. Both are 7.9mm thick.

Price-wise, off contract, you’re looking at £869 for the Note10 256GB model, £999 for the Note10+ 256GB model, £1,099 for the Note10+ 5G 256GB and £1,199 for the Note10+ 5G 512GB. You’re going to need deep pockets.

Around back then and Samsung seem to be delivering the S10 5G setup – an ultrawide 16 megapixel cam, a wide-angle 12 megapixel lens, a 12 megapixel telephoto lens and a depth-vision camera for augmented reality. Here’s an example shot from the camera…

Up front there’s an in-display pin-hole selfie camera which is 10 megapixels. There’s advanced tech for ensuring that you have steady videos and a video editor for tweaking the footage after via that S Pen.

The S-Pen remains but this time they have added an accelerometer and gyroscope for “air gestures” – something also coming to the Galaxy Tab S6 we covered.

Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, it’s an octa-core CPU with Android 9.0 (Pie) doing the business. There’s GPS, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, “Audio Zoom” on video footage and a fingerprint sensor too.

Vodafone are retailing the Note10 here, as are EE, O2 and Three to name just a few.
