MWC – NOA bring a pop-up camera doo-hickey to Barcelona

Here in Barcelona NOA is showing off some new rugged smartphones alongside their newly announced F series smartphone. The new F series models come with something called a “U notch” and AI intergration.

The first smartphone is NOA F5, which has a double rear camera setup said to take pictures “up to 65 megapixel resolution”. It also has 64GB of storage, a 4000mAh battery and 4GB RAM. Priced at around €199, it runs Android 9.0.

There’s also the NOA F3, which again does 65 megapixel photos, and is ever cheaper at €119. It’s got 32GB of storage and 3GB RAM. It also comes with DTS sound technology.

NOA will also be showcasing their N series, including the NOA Element N10 and the NOA N20 – again with 65 megapixel shots. It has 4GB RAM, 64GB storage and a 19:9 Full HD+ screen.

The 64 megapixel photos, from what we’ve seen here, are courtesy of oversampling.

Their rugged series of phones, which are cleverly called “RUGGED”, include the new Hummer 2019, which brings solid and dependable usage with a design which doesn’t make it look rugged. It’s shock, pressure, water and scratch resistant. Head to their website for more information.

NOA will also be showing off their TV’s and other devices, but we’re more intrigued to see more on that strange pop-up camera arrangement.
