LG Stylus 2 announced ahead of Mobile World Congress

I’ve never really been a big fan of using phones with a stylus, but if you are, the LG Stylus 2 could be right up your street. It’s not, as you might initially think, a stylus. “Stylus” is actually the name of the phone.

It’s an enhanced version of the G4 Stylus and has a 5.7″ HD 1280×720 pixel screen with a 1.2GHz quad-core chip and 1.5GB of RAM. There’s 16GB of storage and a microSD card slot so that you can augment that. Around back there’s a 13 megapixel shooter with an 8 megapixel one for selfies up front..

Powered by Android Marshmallow, it has a 3000mAh battery and all the usual bits you’d expect from a smartphone – WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.1 etc.

The handset follows on from the X series handsets by being slightly more specialized. Here the LG Stylus 2 has additions such as Pen Pop, Pop Scanner and Pop Memo. It also features Pen Keeper, a natty little innovation for ensuring that you don’t lose your stylus. It’ll mean that you can keep your stylus with your…. err.. Stylus

LG are cranking out the announcements ahead of the Barcelona madness, and they’ve only really got a little thing called the “LG G5” left to mention.
