Google Support seem to have revealed something that may upset many. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus won’t be getting an update to Android 4.4 (aka KitKat).
Why?
Well, Google tell us that because the device was launched two years ago (how time flies eh?) it falls outside the 18 month support window. So, essentially, tough.
Now of course, there’s bound to be a ROM appearing in the tinterwebs to fill the gap, but this isn’t great news for people who invested in the Google-branded product expecting it to receive updates to the very latest OS builds.
