Wikipad set for 27th September UK launch

Android has improved vastly in a number of areas in recent times.  One of those areas of improvement is gaming with releases such as Asphalt 8 going some way to showing the capabilities of the latest incantations and the devices that they run on.

Well, after the less than well received Archos Gamepad comes the Wikipad.

This 7″ gaming device is all set to reach UK shores on 27th September and will cost £249.99

Specs include a 7″ multi touch display, 16GB onboard storage, microSD card slot with support for cards of up to 32GB,  NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core mobile processor, 2MP front camera and HDMI out.  Full access to the usual Google apps and Google Play is of course included.

The USP however has to be the patented detachable dual-analog controller which is linked via USB.

How well the Wikipad will sell is open to debate as the competition is hotting up as the launch of the new Nexus 7 has shown.
