Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom now official

Well, we expected it, you all saw the leaked images. It’s the love child of the Samsung Galaxy Camera and Samsung Galaxy S4. That x10 Optical Zoom camera is a 16 megapixel unit and has “enhanced SMART modes, IOS 24-240mm, F3.1-F6.3″ (I’m guessin gthat the photography buffs will understand that. It also packs a 4.3” qHD sAMOLED (960×540) pixel screen with a 2,330mAh battery, WiFi, NFC, aGPS, 8GB storage and further space through the microSD card slot.

No dates just yet on this, but Samsung tell us it’ll arrive “this summer” in the UK and pricing will be heading our way nearer to that time.

The S4 Zoom has many of the same features of the S4 but with the addition of fully-fledged professional camera kit around the back. No blocky digital-only zoom shots here, and no need to carry around two devices (I’m asuming that there are still some who do that).

Initaily, I loved the idea of these devices. Then of course reality kicked.. Battery life… It’s bad enough my phone needing to be on life support every 5 hours, but the same thing with a camera?? no chance… With my DSLR & compact, it’s weeks or even months before I have to charge.
Until battery life is sorted out in general, I cant see these devices moving into the mainstream.

I’m keen on getting one but my only concern is th size.will it still sit your pocket
