Sheesh – this story just won’t die will it? We discussed Windows Mobile appearing to work on an iPhone a while back now. We discounted it because it formed some sort of weird viral marketing campaign, but then another video appeared showing Windows Mobile operating on an iPhone over at msmobiles.com.
However, it appears that this wasn’t what it seemed, and the news item at msmobiles.com didn’t reveal that the video demo was performed using VNC within the iPhone to connect to a PC which had a remote control session (using something like MyMobiler) to a Windows Mobile phone. Clever? Yes. Real? No. So why not tell everyone the truth?
Unless someone sends me a proper iPhone running Windows Mobile and a truck full of lager I’m just going to hide under the pillow next time someone mentions this.
