We’ve probably all seen those rather beautiful videos filmed using super-steady drones. However, if you want to step things up a bit and film in full 4K video you could have a slight problem. You might need to upgrade the camera hanging under the drone or perhaps get yourself a whole new drone.
Motorola have proved that it’s possible to get some rather lovely 4K footage by strapping a Moto X to the bottom of one of these things, and they’ve sent us the resulting video as it glides over San Francisco.
There’s more details on the Motorola blog and, as you can see by the kit involved, this is a seriously beefy drone, but it’s definitely following on from our trailblazing “stick a smartphone to the bottom of a car” project ;)
