Snugg Live Wire charging cable review

A cable is a cable. One of those things you leave on the floor, at the back of the sofa, under the bed. However, if you want a cable that’s just a big more special, then consider this Snugg Live Wire charging cable.

From the instant I unpackaged it I noticed that it was tough. Not stretchy, twisted or tangled – this is a sturdy cable. The magic, though, happens when you plug it into your iPhone 5 or new iPad. Stick one end into a USB charger and the other end into your new Apple device and it’ll glow a nice blue colour, with the colour pulsing towards your device. Not only that, but it’ll flow quickly if the battery is low and, when the battery is full, the light will go off.

You can plug it into a standard wall charger or your laptop if you wish. Meanwhile, you can buy one of these for £19.99 from snugg.co.uk. This is a £10 reduction but still that’s quite expensive for a cable. However, if you’re an Apple fan then this could be right up your street and will make you a little different from the rest. :)

Oh dear… Has the world gone mad? First the the Nexus 4 usb that costs a tenner, now a glowing usb that costs twenty quid? For shame.

£20 quid is a large chunk of change for a USB lead, even if it glows :(

    Competition fodder hopefully? nudge nudge.
