We’ve probably mentioned this app in passing a number of times, but I felt that it definitely deserved its own post. This is App 2 SD, an appplication which will detect which apps can be moved to the SD card and allow you to shift them. Doing this simple task leaves you phone with more room and there’ll be no more warnings about “Low Storage Space”.
The app shows how much space you currently have, which apps are “movable”, which are on the SD card and which are constrained to the phone only.

Used for ages…. love it….. incidentally Gears…. I think you wouldnt harm looking at CynogenMod. I made the lead and I have with loads of stuff installed on my Desire about 30-40MB free…..
Also for those looking at this…. when you install new apps it checks them and if they can be moved it notifies you right away…..

It wasn’t meant to be cutting edge. We felt that this particular app hasn’t been given the coverage it deserves, hence the post.
Don’t you need a rooted phone for this to work in versions prior to 2.2?
What about for those who are on android 2.1?
Use Superuser & Universal Androot, will also allow you to use the wireless tether app, works for my Hero

How good is this root system?
Once this is downloaded my assumption would be to install into a ROOT folder in the SD card?
Installed it and it says nothing to move! Is it just a shortcut to all those apps that can be moved to SD legitimately? I thought this would allow me to move others such as Flash.
It is a trial version 10 days then that’s it.
