The Android Market contains hundreds of different wallpaper apps. They are all very similar inn that you are presented with four popular images or a list of categories. Once you have loaded the category you have to keep tapping next to view the next four, it soon get tedious and you uninstall the app and look elsewhere. This app works a little differently. Below are a few shots of the app in action.
Once you open the app you get a nice simple front end as shown above. The different buttons here are fairly self explanatory. Once you pick a button though, instead of slowly displaying few images at a time, it loads up the the standard Android gallery app and displays all of the wallpapers in that folder or category. This makes scrolling through the available wallpapers very easy. Once you tap on a wallpaper you like the look of, it loads up at full size and you can choose to save it, save the whole album or view a slideshow.
If you wanted to download an entire album of wallpapers I would recommend you connect to wifi first, as some of the albums contain quite a few images. Once you start downloading the album you get a notification telling you how much has been downloaded. One thing to note is that the popular albums list and categories list seem to contain slightly different images so do look through both. The app also has a few settings, such as allowing you to auto change your wallpaper, enable a family filter and clearing the cache for the app as well.
Overall it is a great app. It is good that the app uses the standard gallery allowing you to scroll through the wallpapers a lot quicker. The images are sized to suit wvga devices, devices with smaller resolutions will just have to crop the image a little bit. A slight problem with the app is, it has adverts which get in the way of the image controls along the bottom of the screen. But it is free and has some great features and wallpapers.
