Can you remember on Saturday we mentioned that if you had an Orange San Diego and you fancied trying to break it you could manually update it to Ice Cream Sandwich using an OEM manufacturer update file.
Well things have gone a step further, after updating to the version for the Xolo, Modaco member benichou edited a root exploit by XDA member binary and they have done the impossible, they have rooted the most locked down ever.

You will need to flash the Xolo firmware first, then upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich and then use the exploit in the thread. Quite a few hoops to jump through, but in the end you will have root.
