Honor and Qualcomm partner on Honor Magic V5

Honor will be announcing the Global version of the Honor Magic V5 in just over a week now, and part of that launch is the announcemnt of their partnership with Qualcomm technologies.

The Honor Magic V5 will feature at its core the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform. In addition to this, the phone also features the AI Falcon camera System, which has been co-developed with Qualcomm and their flexible imaging architecture and Qualcomm Spectra ISP hardware to combine computational photography with Honor’s powerful AI algorithms.

Couple this with the Qualcomm® Hexagon™ NPU technology to deliver real-time scene perception, motion recognition, improved autofocus, and enhanced shutter response and you will get the stunning photos that we expect from a flagship-grade phone setup.

The key areas that have been achieved using this partnership are these:-

  • This 64MP Ultra Sensing Periscope Telephoto Camera boasts a 3X optical zoom and 100X digital zoom, enabling you to capture distant subjects with remarkable clarity. Through meticulous fine-tuning of imaging processing pipelines and module enhancements, even long-range shots remain clear and sharp.
  • The 50MP Ultra-Light Sensitive Falcon Main Camera is optimised for low-light scenarios, delivering professional-grade photos even in challenging conditions.

While the camera is undoubtedly a showcase of Qualcomm’s influence, its impact extends beyond that. The Qualcomm Oryon™ CPU boasts impressive peak speeds of up to 4.32GHz, while the first-ever sliced Qualcomm® Adreno™ GPU architecture delivers a 40% performance boost, enhancing gameplay and creating immersive visuals.

These enhancements ensure that the Honor Magic V5 delivers a smooth and seamless interaction with the phone, regardless of whatever task they are doing, be it gaming, streaming or intense multitasking.

HONOR and Qualcomm Technologies are collaborating to launch the HONOR Magic V5 across Europe on 28th August 2025. This partnership marks a new chapter in the evolution of foldable smartphones, and together they are poised to shape the future of mobile technology, empowering users to achieve more than ever before.
