The range of available networks at Carphone Warehouse has just dropped again. EE have, after 20 years, decided not to renew their partnership with Dixons Carphone. This follows the high profile exit of O2 deals back in April.
A BT / EE spokesperson told us..
(We will) shift our focus and investment to growth in our own stores and online channels.
This has not been an easy decision to take and follows many months of challenging discussions and negotiation.
However, as our strategy moves toward convergence and our focus on customer value and retention increases, we will be resetting our distribution strategy to prioritise sales and service in our own channels.
EE have thanked Dixons Carphone for being a “great partner” over the years and EE “wish them well as they pursue their own renewed strategy”.
Carphone Warehouse will offer Vodafone, iD Mobile, Virgin Mobile and VOXI plans only following the departure of EE.
