Motorola G 5G Plus comes to giffgaff

With giffgaff working on 5G (they operate on O2 masts), they’ve today announced that the Motorola G 5G Plus will be available shortly on their network.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 765-powered smartphone runs Android 10 and has a 6.7″ 1080 x 2520 pixel screen (21:9 ratio at 409 ppi) with a 90Hz refresh rate. We’re not entirely sure which version giffgaff will be picking up, but there’s a 64GB storage / 4GB RAM version and a 128GB storage / 6GB RAM model. The 64GB / 4GB RAM model will be sold by giffgaff.

Camera-wise, there’s a quad-camera arrangement consisting of a 48 megapixel main f/1.7 lens, an 8 megapixel wide-angled lens, a 5 megapixel macro and a 2 megapixel depth.

Up front is a dual-camera arrangement for your selfie fun, consisting of a 16 megapixel camera and an 8 megapixel wide-angle lens.

Other features include dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, USB-C charging and that large-capacity 5,000 mAh battery which gets 20W fast charging.

giffgaff tell us that the Motorola G 5G Plus will be available to purchase at a buy outright price of £299. You can break that down into a monthly cost of £13.60 via RateSetter (with a £25 deposit) over 24-months, then you just need to add whatever goodybag you fancy. The phone is also sold by Moto themselves at £299 for the 64GB model and £249 for the 128GB version.

Another well-priced phone using the Snapdragon 765 (5G) CPU to add to the upcoming OnePlus Nord. With any new handset, non-members will need to initially purchase a goodybag worth £10 or over.

The handset isn’t showing on the giffgaff site as yet, but keep an eye in this section.
