OnePlus Warp Charge 30 Wireless Charger Overview

The all-new OnePlus 8 Pro gets a 4510mAh battery and, in the box, the super-quick Warp Charge 30T wired charger. However, the OnePlus 8 Pro also gets Wireless charging and , if you want, you can place it on the wireless charging units available to buy on the web or at your local McDonalds etc.

Thing is, the wireless charging isn’t going to be as quick as it will be on this thing. This, ladies and gentlemen, is the Warp Charge 30 Wireless Charger. It pumps out up to 30W and charges the OnePlus 8 Pro incredibly quickly – from nothing at all to 50% in 30 minutes flat. OK, it’s 7 minutes slower to do that than the traditional red cable and wired 30T charging, but it’s still immensely quick.

The charger itself is well designed and comes with a small and uses the Qi charging protocol. At the bottom is a small LED which blinks when plugged in, on whilst charging and turns off when your phone is fully charged.

The charger connects to a power unit which looks similar to the OnePlus 30T chargers but it’s directly wired in, so you can only use it with this charger.

At the back there’s a meshed area which I presume is for cooling and, at the bottom, rubber feet for keeping the charger fixed into position. There’s a rubber section to protect the bottom of your phone and a vent mid-way up which, I assume, is for cooling again.

Video unboxing

This literally arrived from the courier minutes ago, so here’s my kitchen-based unboxing!

The unit itself certainly does the job and topped up the OnePlus 8 Pro we have on test incredibly quickly.

Overall, a great bit of kit. It’s going to cost you £69 and you’ll be able to buy it from the OnePlus website.
