RedMagic 5G – The next level in smartphone gaming.

No global pricing announced just yet but this, the new RedMagic 5G, is available in China and should be appearing elsewhere in April.

With starting prices working out at around £429, this handset has a 6.65″ screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. The guys behind this (Nubia) call this AMOLED panel an “ESports Display” with a smooth and crystal clear experience.

Powered by an ultra-quick Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, there’s “Active Liquid-Cooling” so that you can play for longer without getting sweaty hands. It also comes with an upgraded “Turbo Fan” tech to ensure that this 5G phone is kept cool even whilst pushing high-performance experiences to the user. Other gaming-centric innovations include built-in shoulder trigger buttons.

Camera-wise, you’re getting a 64 megapixel Sony “Triple Cam”. Along with that 64 megapixel sensor there’s an 8 megapixel wide-angle lens and a 2 megapixel “micro” (Bokeh) lens. Up front is a 12 megapiel selfie shooter.

Although initially only available in China, RedMagic is launching an “MVP” campaign to develop interest in the phone before the global launch. From March 12th to April 14th, RedMagic will release a series of small “missions” for participants to complete with up to 5 RedMagic 5G devices to win.

The RedMagic 5G comes with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage with UFS 3.0 storage. Other features, along with the WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS etc, includes a biometric in-screen fingerprint scanner, a 4,500mAh battery with long-life 55W fast charging.

There’s a few versions available – a 12GB / 256GB storage model for 4099 CNY or you can get an 8GB / 128GB model in either red or black for 3799 CNY.
