Sky Mobile adding 5G

Sitting on the O2 network, Sky Mobile have today announced that customers will be getting 5G for no extra cost if you’re on their Sky VIP loyalty programme – this is a free perk for existing users.

Sky Mobile is promising to deliver 5G in 50 towns and cities by the summer, and prices start from £6 per month for a 3GB data plan with unlimited calls & texts. Perhaps the most appropriate deal for me is the 9GB plan for £12 per month with the same unlimited bits.

There’s already a range of 5G phones available from the virtual network, including the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ 5G and the Samsung Galaxy A90. There’s 20 cities and towns covered right now and that’ll increase throughout the year. You can check the coverage on this Sky Mobile link.

London, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Belfast, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Liverpool, Nottingham, Derby and Stoke are included in the current coverage plus many more. The existing Swap feature is still there so you can upgrade to a new handset whenever you want.

Sky Mobile is also running a competition for Sky VIP which could see you bagging a Samsung Galaxy Note10+ 5G and a Sky Mobile data plan for a year. Customers have to enter via the My Sky app.
