Headline stats then, and this has a 14-day battery, a Huawei Kirin A1 CPU, an ultra-thin profile, Bluetooth calls, music playback, scientific sleep monitoring, stress monitoring, information assistant, heart rate monitoring, GPS tracking, fitness monitor and an always-on 1.39″ full-colour AMOLED touchscreen display.
The Charcoal Black 46mm smartwatch will be fully available on December 20th, then there’ll be an Agate Black 42mm version in early 2020. Pricing for that one will be announced later too. It sounds like that one won’t have a 7-day battery life though.
There’s 15 fitness modes, including 8 outdoor and 7 indoor sports. It includes running, hiking, cycling and triathlons plus indoor pool swimming, free training and rowing machines. There’s also 13 professional indoor and outdoor running courses from beginner to advanced levels.
The MagicWatch 2 also has the Huawei TruSleep 2.0 tech, which tracks and diagnoses 6 common types of sleep disorders, suggesting new ways to improve your sleep quality. Added to that, this can also let you know when you’re a bit stressed out thanks to the “TruRelax” brains from Huawei.
The MagicWatch 2 is water resistant up to 50 meters, so you can go swimming and measure distance, speed and burned calories. Calls can be made or received via Bluetooth with headphones or with the built-in speaker and mic – up to 150m away from your phone. It’ll also show your latest WhatsApps, texts, emails and your calendar appointments. Built-in apps include Weather, Alarm, Timer, Find My Phone and more.
