Vodafone shrink SIM card packaging

In an “effort to reduce plastic waste”, Vodafone will be supplying your SIM cards in a more eco-friendly way soon. They’ve (literally) cut the size in half, meaning that your SIM will be delivered in a smaller card.

The guys at Voda are keen to point out how this is part of their commitment to reducing their carbon footprint, and they want to buy all electricity from renewable sources by 2025. Vodafone has also committed to reuse, resell or recycle 100% of its network waste and help customers extend the lives of the devices they already own.

The network is also to range the Fairphone 3 smartphone in the run up to Christmas in Germany, Italy, UK, Spain, and Ireland.
