When tech DOES help your mental health

You’ll have no doubt seen the stories detailing how smartphones affect your mental health. Constant social media use and an open gateway for those who wish to contact you can be damaging, but apps like Flow, which is currently only available for iOS, are trying to help.

The app includes a chatbot therapist to help treat depression with instant and anonymous help. It’s fully featured and it’s backed by clinical psychologists, so you effectively get a therapist on your phone.

This is free, and also delivers mood tracking, mental exercises and a depression recovery regime which includes sleep, exercise, nutrition and meditation.

Here’s a look at it in action..

The app is free and brought to you by Flow, who developed Europe’s first (and only) medically approved brain stimulation headset treatment for depression.

An Android version will be available any day now.
