Vodafone to range the Xiaomi Mi 9 and Huawei P30 Lite


Two new phones have been confirmed by the Vodafone network here in the UK. First, the Xiaomi Mi 9 is coming. This runs Android 9 and has a 6.39″ 19.5:9 Full HD+ OLED display. It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 CPU and an Adreno 640 GPU. There’s also 6GB RAM and 64GB on-board storage or 128GB storage depending on the version. Camera-wise you get a 48 megapixel rear sensor with wide and telephoto lense, plus a 20 megapixel camera up-front for your selfies.

Customers will be able to purchase the new device on Vodafone’s Red Entertainment plans which include a choice of Amazon Prime Video, Sky Sports Mobile TV, Spotify Premium or a NOW TV Entertainment Pass.

In addition, Voda have confirmed that the newly-announced P30 Lite will be available with them too. This is an entry-level smartphone with Quick Charge, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage and a 6.15″ FHD 2312×1080 pixel screen. It has no NFC but gets more everything else. It’s powered by a Kirin 710 octa-core CPU and also has a 48 megapixel image sensor (24 megapixel wide-angle (f/1.8 aperture), 8 megapixel ultra wide lens and a 2 megapixel Bokeh lens). Up front is a 32 megapixel shooter.
