KitSound DJ 2 Wired Headphones – Review

Over the last few years KitSound have become my go-to supplier of headphones. I enjoy their strong bass sound and they have always been good value for money. So I always look forward to these reviews when new KitSound equipment reaches my desk.

The KitSound DJ 2 Wired Headphones are over the ear phones aimed at those who need to immerse themselves in their music, whether you are a bedroom DJ or you have a noisy commute.

Sound Quality of the KitSound DJ 2 Wired Headphones

All headphones sound different, even with the same source, so it’s important that your main audio kit is right for you.

Like all KitSound headphones, the DJ 2 ‘phones with their 50mm Drivers are very strong on the lower bass end of the range, which is great for most instrumental heavy or electronic style music, and given the value level of these headphones, they only retail for about £25, the overall quality is incredible.

Certainly you could never accuse this headphones of being tinny as they certainly boom.

At this low price you should be aware that Bluetooth isn’t included and they are wired only headphones.

How the DJ 2 Headphones Immerse you in Music

The worst thing that can happen when you are getting serious with your playlist is when you can hear other noise above your music, it really does spoil the overall experience.

It’s worth noting that the DJ 2 headphones do not feature noise cancelling technology, they don’t need it. Instead the immersion is maintained because the earphone completely cover your ears and form a tight seal with your head, meaning that external noise isn’t noticeable when you have you music playing.

This may sound simplistic but it works well.

KitSound DJ 2 and Flexibility

KitSound have really thought about flexibility with the DJ 2s as you can swivel the cups around 180 degrees allowing you to hold the headphones to your ear and listen to your private audio whilst being able to listen to external music, just like a proper DJ.

The included 2.2m Aux cable is long enough  to allow you to serious move around and away from your decks. In addition, for those of you who like to share your musical experience a Buddy Aux port is included so that a friend can plug a set of headphones into the DJ 2s so that they can hear the same stream as yourself.

Given there size the Kitsound DJ 2 headphones aren’t the most portable headphones on the market, but they are certainly amongst the most comfortable, and with the great value and excellent sound you could do a lot worse than picking a set up.

For me they have found a firm place as my gaming headphones, very immersive, very comfortable, gunshots BOOM and the Price is right for family gaming.
