#MWC18 – Hands-on with the Wiko View 2 and View 2 Pro. Another notch!

Well, that’s about it here in Barcelona. Things are starting to close down and the stands are due to be dismantled. At the Wiko stand we saw yet another iPhone X-style “notch”. This one was on the Wiko View 2 Pro. It’s got a big 6″ screen (which is sadly only 1528×720), 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage. It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core 1.8GHz CPU and runs Android 8 (Oreo).

Storage can be increased via microSD, plus there’s the usual WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and dual 16 megapixel cameras (f/1.75) with another 16 megapixel f/2.0 camera up front which, as you can no doubt see, sits in that “notch”.

There’s a “Custom fit” UI, video stabilisation and face unlock. The screen ratio is 19:9. They also do the Wiko View 2, which is pretty much the same but with slightly lower-resolution cameras, less storage (32GB), less memory (3GB) and a 1.4GHz octa-core CPU.

Wiko put their launch announcements on YouTube, so you can watch the event here..

No price as yet, but Wiko do a pretty massive range of phones if you want one of their other ones.
