There’s a few reasons why we did this. Firstly, Google is pushing for websites to do this as it secures the connection between you there and us here. Any data flowing from the site or into the site (such as via the contact form or from our search button at the top) is now locked down.
The release of newer Chrome browser also means that some non-HTTPS pages show as “NOT SECURE”. Not only that, but it helps our rankings too, because Google likes a secure site and prefers to list it rather than a HTTP site. Brill.
As I did all this in about 30 minutes last night, do let me know if you see any strange things happening or stuff just not working at all.
