When I read the press release for this Kickstarter campaign for udoq it was hard to get excited about a docking station. However, I was impressed (from the video at least) of the build quality and it didn’t look like just another Chinese plastic stand. The docking station is designed to hold a multitude of devices, with udoq’s adapters available for whatever devices you wish to connect. udoqs are available in different lengths from 250mm (9.8 in), 400mm (15.7 in), 550mm (21.65 in) to 700mm (27.6 in) and comes as a plug & play product: the four most common charging cables (Apple Lightning, Apple 30-pin, Micro-USB and USB-C) are already installed in the bar. Additional cables of every type can be added at all time as required.
10,000 udoqs will be offered in staggered price segments with discounts of up to 50%. In contrast to common products on crowdfunding platforms, udoq is already being produced and will be available immediately at the end of the crowdfunding campaign. During the Kickstarter campaign, B2C sales will be started over the udoq online shop in the EU, the USA and Asia.
