Right. Another possible shot-in-the-dark handset from China now, and this time it’s a DOOGEE HOMTOM HT5. This one has a 13 megapixel rear camera from Sony and a 5 megapixel front camera.
Sure, it’s a phone I’m not totally familiar with, but you’ve got to consider the fact that it’s $119.99 or £78.68. For that you’ll get a 5″ screen which is 1280×720 HD and sits behind Gorilla Glass. It’s powered by a MediaTek MTK6735 64bit quad-core 1.0GHz CPU and has a Mali-T720 GPU.
The OS is Android 5.1 and there’s 1GB RAM with 16GB of on-board storage to couple to your microSD card if you want to put that in. Other features include WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and it’s a dual-SIM so you can put a standard SIM and a micro SIM in too.
Despite the cheap price, you get an ebony and black apricot wood finish, which looks rather nice.
