TVPlayer announces subscription service for extra channels

We’ve already covered a data-free way to get TV on your tablet this week, but if you want streaming TV shows you can also use the likes of TVCatchup or TVPlayer. Both have got mobile apps, but if you want to get access to premium (paid-for) channels, you’re out of luck.
TVPlayer announces subscription service for extra channels

Now TVPlayer are launching something called TVPlayer Plus, which will give access to some of those premium channels for £4.99 per month. Not only that, but you can watch them on up to 3 different devices.

Don’t worry, they won’t be binning their current free service (which sticks 55 channels into your iPhone, Android, Amazon Fire TV, Mac or PC) but you’ll be able to get over 25 additional channels including Lifetime, HISTORY, H2, Crime + Investigation, Gold, Alibi, Watch, Good Food, Eden, Home, Discovery Channel, TLC, ID (Investigation Discovery), Animal Planet, Discovery Turbo, British Eurosport, British Eurosport 2, National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo WILD, Sony Entertainment Television, Sony Movie Channel, Boomerang, Cartoon Network, Cartooonito and BabyTV.

Yes, I said BabyTV.

Further channels are expected to turn up soon enough, and you can even get this fed down your Chromecast dongle too. Head to plus.tvplayer.com to get more information.

No it’s not available for Windows Phone.
