I’ve been emailed just now about some sort of “Easter Egg” in Google Maps. The mail came with this preview image, which I assumed had been Photoshopped, because as a global company you surely couldn’t get away with adding that into your product…could you?
Thing is, it’s not edited in any way. This image of Android urinating on the Apple logo is right here in all Google Maps products. On the satellite view everything is fine, but when you switch to the map view it’s clear what Google and Android think of the competition.
A lone wolf or a sneaky bit of fun from the Google Maps team? Let’s wait and see …
