According to @upleaks Taiwanese phone manufacturer HTC is working on a mid-range handset dubbed the Desire 626.
From the leaked images, the Desire 626 looks very similar to HTC’s current mid-range Desire handset the 826.
However, the Desire 626 will sport considerably less powerful internals, which includes :-
- 5-inch 720p display.
- 1.7Ghz octa-core processor from MediaTek.
- 2GB Ram
- 16 GB Internal Storage.
- 13MP rear camera.
- 5MP front shooter.
- 2,000mAh battery.
Shipping with Android 4.4 out of the box, but set to receive the update to Android 5.0 Lollipop down the line. The toned down internals means that the Desire 626 should be quite a bit cheaper than the Desire 826.
