Two new Kindles announced by Amazon

Three new Kindles have been announced today. Some may sound familiar but have extra grunt, whilst others are new to the market and have more storage.

They are….

Kindle Voyage

Costing jsut £169 it’s 7.6mm thick and weighs less than 180 grams. This one has a Paperwhite display and has “the highest resolution, highest contrast and highest brightness of any Kindle”.

It’s an e-reader first and foremost, with an adaptive front light to adjust the display based on your surroundings, a new “PagePress” system to flick through pages easier and free 3G included. We’re not quite sure how Amazon has managed this for the price, but they tell us that there’s no monthly fees and no contracts – just use it to download and read books in over 100 countries in the world.
