The Sony Xperia Z2 is a great device, for various reasons it is my daily go to device, a mix of size, power and functionality keep pulling me back. If you fancy reading the review it’s here. This morning upon turning my SIM free model on it announced that there was an OTA update available, which whilst still being Android 4.4.2 based it has a decent sounding changelog. It updates to software build number 17.1.2.A.0.314.
- Enhanced voice call quality.
- Improved touch function and performance.
- Charging improved when battery is low.
- Overall performance and stability improved.
- And all of our latest bug fixes and improvements.

So to try this out either just turn your phone on or head over to the Sony update centre on your Sony Xperia Z2 and try to manually trigger the update.
