Last year HTC and Google released a Play Edition of the HTC One and it seems they’re going to do the same again this year and lo and behold we’re not going to see it in the UK. You’ll be able to look at details of this soon here.
HTC, in partnership with Google, is excited to announce the HTC One (M8) Google Play Edition. The phone will have all the sweet hardware goodness of the “regular” HTC One (M8), but will have the sweet sticky stock Android Kit Kat 4.4.2 at its core. If that’s your thing, then this is your phone. Google will be selling the Glacial Silver model only for $699 USD, within the USA (we don’t make that rule, ask Google to sell it in your own country).
