Sony launch the Xperia T2 Ultra and the Xperia T2 Ultra Dual
Out of no-where Sony have decided to launch lots of new handsets today. The first two are these, the Xperia T2 Ultra and the Xperia T2 Ultra Dual. To be honest the only difference between them is that the latter has a dual-SIM, so it’s really just one handset with the option of a dual-SIM version if you want it.

First the specs, and we’re talking phablet territory straight away. It has a 6″ HD (720p) screen with TRILUMINOS and Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 for mobile, a 13 megapixel camera with Exmor RS for mobile plus a 1.1 megapixel front camera with Exmor R. It’s powered by a quad-core 1.4GHz CPU and has 1GB RAM with 8GB of storage on-board, but this can be increased with a microSD card for another 32GB. It’s powered by a 3000 mAh and has the Sony “STAMINA” mode for prolonging use. Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS and all the usual gadgets are also on board.

The camera includes lots of add-ons including a collage mode, defocus (for adding blur), a timeshift setting, panorama and retouch mode. You can also share your snaps easily via social media and email.

No news on pricing or availability as yet but we’ll keep you posted.
