LG announce the G Pro Lite
The large oversized phone market is an ever increasingly popular one, as people realise how much easier life can be when they’ve got a five and a half inch screen phone in their pocket.

We’ve seen two distinct sub genres within the large oversized phone market. We have the rather expensive ones like the Note 3 and Xperia Z Ultra and then we have budget version like the Mega 6.3, Liquid S1 and Huawei Ascend Mate. LG have decided to release a new device that will sit in the budget end of the scale.

Spec wise it’s pretty basic really.

– Processor: MediaTek MT6577 1.0 GHz Dual Core
– Display: 5.5-inch (960 x 540 pixels)
– Network: 3G (HSDPA: 7.2Mbps / HSUPA: 5.76Mbps)
– Memory: 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM, MicroSD
– Camera: Rear 8.0MP BSI / Front 1.3MP
– Battery: 3,140 mAh (removable)
– Operating System: Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2
– Size: 150.2 x 76.9 x 9.4mm
– Weight: 161g
– Connectivity: Bluetooth 3.0, USB2.0, A-GPS, Wi-Fi Direct
– Colors: Black, White

In addition to its large IPS display, LG G Pro Lite features an equally large 3,140mAh battery, embedded Stylus Pen, stereo speakers and Dual SIM with a dedicated Hot Key.

It certainly has potential to be a decent device, it’s all down to price and availability really.

LG worryingly said the following about its release schedule.

LG G Pro Lite will make its world debut this month in Latin America followed by markets in Asia, Russia, China, India and the Middle East.

We’ll post some more images later once we get some.
