We thrive on rumours and leaks these days, I can’t sleep some days until I’ve read what someone somewhere thinks some company might release at some point soon. Sometimes though @evleaks on Twitter is involved things are a little different, things are a little more real. So when people started mentioning the next BIG thing from HTC I just thought
“OK we’ll see”
Then yesterday afternoon @evleaks posted something on theunlockr.com about the codenamed HTC T6 and my attention was caught. The T6 is rumoured to have the following specs
- 5.9″ 1080p display
- 2GB RAM
- 16GB Storage
- 2.3GHz Quad Core CPU
- UltraPixel Camera with OIS
- Micro SD
- BoomSound Speakers and Audio Chip
- 3300mAh battery
- Sense UI
- Key Lime Pie
So the T6 will be the new HTC flagship if and when it appears, there are a few interesting features though that have been mentioned that in my humble opinion will give it the edge over the Samsung Galaxy Note. The T6 is said to have an
- Updated version of BlinkFeed allowing custom feeds to be added
- Fingerprint Reader on the back to aid intuitive unlocking of the device
- Revival of the HTC Scribe pen to aid content creation and manipulation capabilities
- A rumoured power jacket to increase the battery capacity
So all in all the HTC T6 or whatever it eventually gets called will be a great device and it sounds right up my street, especially if HTC hopefully continue to make phones in a nice solid metallic kind of way.
