Sony Xperia Z tablet gets a taste of AOSP

People bang on about pure Android quite a bit these days. With some people refusing to buy a device not running stock Android. Hence the “success” of the Nexus range. But what other options are there if you want a stock Android tablet? Especially a super thin waterproof and dustproof one.

Sony have been releasing code and working with the AOSP team for a while now. Releasing stock Android for the Xperia S, Xperia Z, some other phones I’ve forgot and now the Xperia Z tablet.

They’ve released a video showing how it all looks.

If you have an Xperia Z tablet and you fancy installing it, voiding your warranty and potentially bricking it then head over to the Xperia Z tablet AOSP project page and get reading up on what is required.
