MWC – ASUS PadFone Infinity hands on

ASUS yesterday announced their latest PadFone device called the Infinity.  This interesting touch screen phone with tablet docking station is the third in the PadFone series and is easily the best one yet from the 1080p screen to LTE connectivity and beautiful design.

This was my first ever hands on time with any of the PadFone range, and I was very impressed with the design, build quality as well as specifications offered.  Plus of couse the idea behind having a phone which docks into a tablet when you want extra power of that larger screen but do not want to have separate storage devices and having to copy things between them.

Even though it is due to have a very high price tag, with the LTE networks supported and the overall impression I would easily put money down to get one right now!

Key specifications include

  • 5 inch phone display with 1080p resolution at 441 PPI
  • 10.1 inch tablet dock
  • Android 4.2
  • 64GB of built in storage
  •  1.7GHz Quad Core processor
  • DC-HSPA and LTE

Here are some hands on photos and a video tour of this new device
