Sky Go updated. Supports more handsets, looks nicer. Jelly Bean support!

Back when I was a kid we used to buy packs of video cassettes at this time of year. Just the other day I showed my son a VHS video cassette and .. well, let’s just say he wasn’t impressed. “Is it a box?”, he said. It’s a fair point, they were huge and there was nothing worse than having to rewind a VHS tape.

Now, the idea of buying a TV Guide, packs of blank cassettes and then spending hours lying on the floor trying to program a video recorder is just a painful memory. Apps like Sky Go let us set our PVR (Sky+ box) while we’re sat on the toilet and it takes seconds.

A new version of the app is now available which adds gloss, on-demand TV, support for 14 new devices and support for Android Jelly Bean. Yeee-haaa!

Devices now enabled for Sky Go are:

HTC: Desire X, One X, One XL, One S, One V, HTC Desire, HTC Desire S, HTC Desire HD, HTC Incredible S, HTC Sensation, HTC Sensation XE

So go now, download the app and get your Christmas programmes set. What? What’s that? There’s nothing worth recording? Oh, sorry. Nothing we can do about that. 🙂
