Samsung Galaxy SIII getting Android 4.1.2 with features and enhancements

The international version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 (GT-i9300) is now receiving Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, in with which Samsung have added a raft of new features, including a few nifty additions, only seen previously on the Note 2.

As well as the bug fixes and underlying operating system enhancements, SIII users will be able to enjoy:

  • Multi-View which lets you have several true multitasking windows open at the same time
  • Page Buddy – dedicated home screen pages that become visible only on certain events, such as plugging in a set of headphones or a dock
  • The Note II’s gallery app
  • Smart Rotation
  • Group Cast
  • Paper Artist
  • Customisable notification panel
  • Continuous Input (a Swype-like keyboard)
