A few weeks ago in amongst all of the other lawsuit waffle, I heard that Apple and Samsung were amending details of the others products to be included in their second court battle. Samsung added the iPhone 5 and Apple added the Note 10.1, Apple also wanted to add, Android 4.1. The implications of this were massive and actually sent a chill down my spine when I read it.
Well the judge dealing with these inclusions has decided as Samsung has no design input on Jelly Bean to dis-allow the inclusion. So all you Android fans can breathe a sigh of relief and go back to being angry at not being able to buy a Nexus 4.
Judge Grewal said the following regarding the issue:
“such an amendment would be overbroad and may sweep any number of Samsung devices using the Jelly Bean operating system into this suit” and that “Samsung also does not have any design control over the content of Jelly Bean as it is a Google Android product that Samsung itself did not develop”. Moreover, “[t]he court will not permit a sweeping amendment that might apply to devices other than those properly tied to Samsung”
Personally I think it is only a matter of time before Google get drawn into this whole Apple lawsuit thing and I don’t think that is going to be a pretty sight. For more info on this case check out the Foss Patents site on the link below. They have a lot of info on all of the current patent cases.

Why the hell can’t they all just play nicely and get on, consumers will buy what they want to buy, all this law suit rubbish is detracting from the bigger story of what product is the one consumers want. Apple have their fan base, Android have theirs… simple…
why are you all acting like idiots this happens every day in business if one company has tech they dont own they pay for the use apple pay samsung and samsung pay apple…

Apple and Google will have to talk about patents that Motorola transferred to Google means they will have to sort out some kind of deal as Motorola have some very good patents.
