TegraZone hits five million downloads through the Play Store

NVIDIA have made quite a splash in the mobile gaming world since they first introduced their Tegra range of processors, and nowadays it seems the quad-core Tegra 3 is the chip of choice for Android smartphones and tablets that want to impress the gamers. Not least because the Tegra chips have their own app and games!

The NVIDIA app is their way of letting you access the games written for Tegra devices, and this official blog post celebrates the fact that it’s been downloaded over five million times!

This is even more impressive when you realise that the app is nothing more than a gateway to help you decide which games to download, and with games such as Dead Trigger, Riptide GP, Dark Meadow and Beach Buggy Blitz on offer, one has to believe that it’s lead to millions more.

This can only bode well for the future of mobile gaming and the development of even better processors for the next generation of mobile devices.
