Other sites have gone on to state that this will cover the entire Desire range, including the Desire HD, Desire Z and the original HTC Desire. The new update enables NFC (Near Field Communications) and adds speed and UI tweaks.

Apparently a NFC could be built in a SIM card….so theres hope yet !!!!
