HTC Flyer details firm up

HTC Flyer details firm upThis slightly blurry image is the HTC Flyer. It’s rumoured to by the HTC Android tablet device we’ve all been waiting for. Now amobil claims that multiple sources are confirming the device and even have specs. According to the sources HTC are keen to get this on the market as soon as possible – it’ll run Android 2.3 instead of 3.0 just to hit shops quicker and will have a 7″ 1024×600 capacitive screen. HTC have also added an improved Sense interface to help Android cope with the tablet size and there’s 4GB of ROM with 1GB of RAM.

Other specs include the same Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 CPU found in the Desire HD, a HDMI port, DLNA capability, Wifi and high-speed 3G / HSDPA / HSPA connectivity. There’s two cameras – a 5 megapixel shooter at the back and a 1.3 megapixel camera up front.

Apparently HTC are also working on a 10″ device too. This is all pretty exciting and it looks like something HTC may be launching at Mobile World Congress. Of course, we’ll be reporting live from Barcelona so keep it here for all the latest.
