Android App Review – Folder Organizer

Android App Review Folder Organizer

Do you have a cluttered android homescreen?

Do you hate the way you cannot easily manage your home screen folders?

Do you hate the way you cannot easily change standard icons?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions then this application may be the one for you!

Folder Organizer is available in the android market in two varieties, a lite version and a paid version. Once you have installed it you are presented with an array of options and icons, which at first will seem quite daunting. Choose “apps” and you are presented with a long list of your currently installed applications, tap on any of them and you are presented with a further list of “labels” these are what the application uses to categorise your applications. Please note this may take quite a while to go through all of your applications.

Once you have categorised them all you can set up custom folders on your home screen. A long press on the home screen brings up the usual add widget dialog, in the list of widgets there will be six new items for this program. Try them all out, each is slightly different ie single icons or 4×4 grid view. You can also assign your own icons to the “labels” or “shortcuts”.

I find this app invaluable for tidying up my phone, it allows me to place three or four icons on my home screen instead of hundreds. I have included several screenshots to show you what to expect. But the easiest way is to install it yourself and have a go.
