Android still on the up – Microsoft and Apple slide

Android still on the up Microsoft and Apple slide The comScore report is out today and shows how things are shaping up in the US. Last year we saw Apple overtake Microsoft and now, just nine months later, Android has too.

Google have experienced a 5% jump in smartphone market share between April and July. Meanwhile Microsoft slipped 2.2% and Apple lost 1.3%. Other than RIM, who remain on top of the pile with around 40% of the market, Apple have 23.8%, Google 17% and Microsoft 11.8% according to the July numbers.

These stats could change quite dramatically when Windows Phone 7 is available to buy, but Android growth shows absolutely no signs of slowing.
