According to Engadget, Sony are readying a PSP Phone which will run on Android 3.0
Android currently lags the iPhone for gaming, for various reasons, but Sony are looking to change that dramatically with a dedicated PSP phone. Highlights include a dedicated game store on Android market, Android 3.0 and a 5 megapixel camera.
Through the Sony tie in, Android will start to get some mainstream games that have proved profitable on the iPhone & Sony exclusives, such as Call of Duty: Modern Warefare & God of War. There is also talk of enhancing games with augmented reality.
This device could land as early as October apparently, which does seem a little early, but here’s hoping!
