We’ve experienced quite a lot of extra visitors recently, so my rather strange coding has been under some severe strain during peak times. We’ve previously added extra PHP script caching and this has helped a great deal, however it’s still not enough to keep everything up to the speed I’d like.
In the last few minutes I’ve implemented something else. It’s a little too geeky to waffle on about, but suffice to say that I’ve turned everything up to “11”. You should hopefully see a noticeable speed boost on our main page especially.
Do give me a yell if you see anything weird happening.
